Oh, yes indeedy. He belongs to Jonathan's housemate, and I've been hearing for a while how cute he is. I really thought I would hold and pet him when we met (I'm not that squeamish), but the reality of those beady eyes and that...well....rat tail overwhelmed me!!
I don't do rats. Not for me, thankyouverymuch. Why is it that so many children's picture books (or chapter books, for that matter) involve heroic rats or cute mice? One wonders...

it's the tail that always gets me. i've heard they make great pets and are very intelligent. but still. that tail.
