2009 Day 211 Christmas in July

My church had a Christmas service last week, singing Christmas carols, reading the Christmas story, and afterward eating Christmas goodies. The tree and nativity were nice touches, and I love, love, love this idea. Merry Christmas!!

2009 Day 210 Freddie

I took this through my window and screen, so it is not clear, but here is Freddie, our neighborhood cat. He's finally forgiven me for spraying him with the hose the day I moved in, when he was determined to trip us up as we unloaded furniture.

2009 Day 209 Well, hello!

As I came home the other night, head down to hold all my stuff and talk on the phone, I didn't see this guy until I was right on top of him. He was smack in the middle of my storm door, right at eye level! He sure is pretty, and has grown a good bit since the last time I saw him down by the door (I guess it is the same one). I have to leave a light on so when I come home at night I can see to get in, and I suppose he takes advantage of the bugs the light attracts.

2008 Day 208 Here we go again...

More painting...but with the completion of the living room, all I have left is some trim throughout the house and some touch-up. And one bathroom ceiling. And maybe that bathroom. (All that furniture moving does get tiring...)

All the contents of the living room cabinets were on the dining room table, so once again we are having a "picnic" of sorts.

2009 Day 201 Beach Antics

Sullivan Beach was windy...really windy!
On Folly Beach, however, it was calm enough for yoga poses.

2009 Day 194 Charleston Flowers

The above flower was outside RB's restaurant, where as the one below was in the Charleston cemetery we cut through...and helped me realize we were not where we thought we were when going back past it later from the wrong direction!

2009 Day 187 That's what you get!

I'd not grocery shopped or run any errands to speak of for over a month, so I had to do some major shopping this weekend. I should last for a while now.

2009 Day 186 Peace

Friday was the last day of a two week Big Draw that was intense, stressful, and very tiring. My schedule had been hectic and upside down. I left the lab for supper, sitting down at my favorite Chinese restaurant, taking time to east slowly and savor the good food, listening to calm Chinese music, and being waiting on by quiet, polite people. A nice change from the pace of my recent past.

2009 Day 185 The remaining fish

I gave away all but the two largest fish, and now they need names. A coworker suggested something to do with classical music (because she thinks I'm boring?) and I've had fun thinking about that? Chi (or Tchai) and Kofsky? Mo and Zart? Bay and Toven?

2009 Day 184 What am I?

I fly around with all my friends, making a lot of racket and dive bombing Laura if she ventures outside. If last year's experience holds, I'll only be around a few days.
