2009: Day 32 Reedy Creek--Take 2

Way out in the wood stand the ruins of an early 1900's stone house. The colors and textures were wonderful for photography, but unfortunately the light was not as wonderful.
Beside the house stood (at one time) a huge Osage Orange tree which arborists say was probably planted around 1770. It toppled during an ice storm in 1987, but the huge tree's skeleton still remains as a fascinating place to play and explore. The above is a branch, not the trunk.

What does this look like to you (if you didn't know it was a hole in a branch :-) )? More photos of the hike are on Flickr.
